A moment as big as the trees

We’ve been a bit quiet lately, but that's because we've been busy getting engaged!

A moment as big as the trees

It started with a September trip to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon. Little did I know this trip would be the trip.

Christian popped the question on our first morning in Sequoia National Park, looking out over Crescent Meadow, a stunning meadow surrounded by towering giant sequoias. Being a tree lover, I couldn't have dreamed of a more magical setting.

Christian also secretly hired a photographer to capture the proposal, making the moment even more special. I had no idea someone was following us along the trail, waiting for the big moment. Photographers are common in national parks, so I thought nothing of it. Plus, I was too busy admiring the incredible size of the trees.

While we're excited to get back to our home projects, this season of wedding planning has been fun and exciting. Since I’ve always been a tree lover, it was only fitting that our journey started in Sequoia National Park and ended with a ceremony tucked away in the woods. Read all about our intimate wedding day.
