We met on Hinge in 2022. After dating for a year and a half, we took a leap and bought a house together. Our priorities were privacy, mature trees, a big yard for Christian's dog Odin, and something with character, even if it needed work.
We originally wanted to be on the north side of Indianapolis, but our search led us west. That's when we found a Cape Cod home tucked away on a cul-de-sac, with towering trees and a large, private, forested backyard. Despite my hesitation about moving back to the west side where I grew up, I knew instantly it was the one before we ever took a step inside, even if it was stuck in the '90s and needed a major update.
It turned out that our backgrounds made us the perfect team for this kind of project: I'm a design lead in tech, and Christian is an engineer. I design it, and he builds it.
