Christian's Man Cave

The before

Turning awkward attic space into the ultimate man cave

Before it became Christian’s man cave, this upper-level attic conversion served strictly as a utilitarian laundry room and catch-all.

The room offered great potential with its dramatic angled ceilings and natural light. Moving the laundry downstairs cleared its large footprint, giving us a blank canvas to build Christian the ultimate man cave.

View looking down the length of a laundry room toward a window with oak trim. The room has sloped ceilings, light gray-blue walls, and medium-to-dark wood-look flooring. On the right sits a white washer and dryer, next to laundry hampers stacked near the back wall.

View looking toward the entrance of a laundry room, showing a white front-load washer and dryer along the left wall next to a small shelf stocked with cleaning and paint supplies. An open doorway and a solid wood door sit along the back wall, three decorative wreaths hang on the wall to the right, and a small wooden attic access door is set low in the wall.

Next up, a textured slat wood accent wall, ambient LED lighting for race days, and a sleek leather lounge area equipped with a TV for F1 weekends. To complete the space, we're adding a sleek leather lounge area with a TV for viewing parties, a bar cart, and gallery walls dedicated to his growing collection of F1 memorabilia.
